Who we are
Chkobba GO (the “game”) is made by MAKELARK Studios (“we”, “us”), an independent game developer. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
For anything about privacy, email makelarkstudios@gmail.com.
This policy covers the Chkobba GO app, its online services, and the Chkobba GO pages of this website.
The short version
- You sign in with Google, Facebook, Apple or email so your progress, coins and friends follow you between devices.
- We store your game profile (username, avatar, level, stats, items) and what you do with other players (friends, clubs, messages, matches).
- Ads are served by Google AdMob, and Google Firebase helps us measure use and fix crashes. You choose whether ads can be personalised.
- Payments go through Google Play or the App Store. We never see your card details.
- We don’t sell your personal data, and you can delete your account at any time.
What we collect
Account and sign-in
When you create an account, our authentication provider (Supabase) receives a unique account ID, the sign-in method you used (Google, Facebook, Apple or email), your email address, and the basic profile the provider shares with us, such as your name and profile picture.
Your game profile
- Your username and a public player code (it starts with CG) that other players can use to find you.
- Your avatar. If you choose to use your social profile photo, we store a link to that picture.
- Optional details you choose to add: gender and age. You can leave both unspecified.
- Level, XP, rank, wins and losses, statistics, medals, achievements, likes received and daily reward streaks.
- Virtual coins, gems, items you own or have equipped, and a log of in-game transactions such as match entries, prizes and rewards.
Playing with other people
- Friends, friend requests, and opponents you save.
- Clubs you join, and messages you send in clubs or directly to friends.
- Gifts and in-game mail sent to or from you.
- Match records: the room, opponents, teams, the moves needed to run the match, scores and results.
- If you connect Facebook and allow it, the list of your Facebook friends who also play Chkobba GO, so we can suggest them as friends. We never post to Facebook.
Purchases
If you buy something in the game, Google Play or the Apple App Store processes the payment. We receive the purchase receipt (order or transaction ID, product, date and status) so we can deliver the item and prevent fraud. We don’t receive your card or bank details.
Ads
Google AdMob shows ads in the game, including optional rewarded ads you choose to watch. AdMob may collect your device’s advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. When you finish a rewarded ad, Google sends us a signed confirmation so we can add the reward to your account exactly once.
Analytics, stability and settings
We use Google Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Remote Config. They collect an app instance ID, device model, operating system, language, approximate location (country or region, worked out from your IP address), app version, crash reports, and events such as screens opened or matches played. This tells us what to improve and helps us fix crashes.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the game can remind you about things like daily rewards. You can turn them off in your device settings at any time.
Support
If you contact us, we keep your message, your email address and any details you send so we can help you.

Ads and your consent
Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), Google’s consent form asks the first time you open the game whether ads may be personalised. You can change your mind later by resetting or deleting your advertising ID in your device settings.
You can limit ad tracking at any time: on Android go to Settings › Google › Ads; on iOS go to Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
Rewarded ads are always optional. Skipping them never blocks you from the core game.
Who we share data with
We share data only with the service providers that help us run the game, and only what they need:
| Provider | What they do | Their policy |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Accounts, database and game servers | supabase.com/privacy |
| Google (AdMob, Firebase, Google Sign-In, Google Play) | Ads, analytics, crash reports, remote settings, sign-in, payments | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Meta (Facebook Login) | Sign-in and friend suggestions, if you use Facebook | facebook.com/privacy/policy |
| Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store) | Sign-in and payments on Apple devices | apple.com/legal/privacy |
| Unity Technologies | Game engine and in-app purchase processing | unity.com/legal/privacy-policy |
Other players can see your public profile: username, player code, avatar, level, rank, statistics, medals, club, equipped items, and gender and age if you added them. Your friends see the messages you send them, and club members see club messages.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it, to protect players or our services, or as part of a sale or merger of the studio, in which case this policy keeps applying.
How long we keep it
- Club messages are deleted automatically after 7 days.
- Direct messages are deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Match summaries are deleted automatically after 90 days. Your overall statistics stay on your profile.
- Unanswered friend requests and old leaderboard periods are cleaned up automatically.
- Your account, profile, progress and items are kept while your account exists, and deleted when you delete it.
- Purchase records may be kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after your account is deleted.
- Analytics and crash data are kept by Google under its retention settings (up to 14 months for analytics and 90 days for crash reports).
Deleting your account
You can ask us to delete your account and all of its data at any time, or only part of it. The steps are on Delete your Chkobba GO account. We complete requests within 30 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU and UK GDPR, US state privacy laws, or your local data protection law), you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate data (you can change your username, avatar and optional details in the game);
- delete your data;
- object to or restrict some processing, and withdraw your consent at any time;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
Email makelarkstudios@gmail.com from the address linked to your account, or include your username and player code. We reply within 30 days.
Children
Chkobba GO is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, email makelarkstudios@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Security and transfers
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Our database enforces per-player access rules, so you can only read and change what belongs to you, and coins, rewards and match results are decided on our servers, not on your phone.
Our providers may process data on servers outside your country. When that happens we rely on their contractual safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we’ll also tell you in the game before it takes effect.
